Our Member of Parliament visits Lydgate
Several members of Love Lydgate and other interested parties, met with our local MP Debbie Abrahams, Shadow Minister for Work and Pensions, in the White Hart on Friday 22nd July.
Debbie had been invited by Love Lydgate Chair, Jennifer Greenwood , so that we might show her how we have generated a strong community spirit, and the work that the community has undertaken and maintained in the area. As Debbie was, understandably, unable to stay with us for a tour of the area, she has promised the possibility of a further, and longer visit in the future.
Brief as it was, the meeting was very useful and very positive, with a lively discussion taking place.
